Services to Churches

                                Investment Account

We invest money for churches and agencies!  We follow the Social Investing Principles of the United Methodist Church, our rates and returns are competitive, and the service fees assist the Foundation and our ministries.
Our funds are held at the Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation.  They have a long history of positive returns and understand our mission and Social Investing philosophy.  We have two investment options – the Common Fund (50%/50% – Equity/Fixed Income) and the Growth Fund (70%/30% – Equity/Fixed Income).  Their broker/custodial agent is R.W. Baird.  There are three additional Equity Managers and they handle the fixed income investments/bonds at   the Wisconsin Foundation.

Here are other services/opportunities we have to offer:

  • “Other Ways to Give” - There are many other ways to give other than simply from a checkbook.   We would be glad to explain these different ideas to a committee or group in your church.  This workshop always gets people thinking of different ways to support your church or the Foundation.

  • Named Endowments may be set up with members in your church.  A percentage from that endowment is returned to your church in the donor’s name every year.  It may be designated for virtually any ministry - to support building maintenance, mission trips, camp scholarships, or an undesignated gift for your church.  Provides a way for families to be remembered and support your local church in perpetuity.

  • Estate Planning Seminars - We prefer to present these seminars with an attorney and financial planner from your church.  This gives people information for planning for their future through wills, estates, tax/income preservation and other ways for them to receive charitable giving advantages.

  • Stewardship/Annual Campaign Workshops

  • A gift that pays you back! - They are called Charitable Gift Annuities and in return for a gift we pay the donor back based on their age.  There are tax benefits and the donor designates a beneficiary – which could be your local church.

  • Free brochures on Better Estate Planning, How to Make a Will that Works, Giving Securities, Giving Real Estate.
